Here's an example of how I focused on only modelling what would be seen on screen.
I had this idea in mind of making some pictures of Chip Hazard, the character, not the toy. Pretty much like Pixar made with Lightyear.
This is not a fully UVed and textured character and I just modelled the parts that would be seen in the final picture. This picture falls under my "QUICK" SCULPTs category, in which I try to create a cinematic shot as fast as I can by focusing on sculpting and comp work rather than the whole pipeline.
In this case I tried to replicate the look of some Vietnam War inspired films, since it is what I think inspired the look of the toyline in the Small Soldiers movie.
