[DISCLAIMER: Small Soldiers War for the Nekron is a Proof of Concept project in which our team was hired by Comadran Studios to create a set of toy characters during some months from 2022-2023. The conclussion of the project was the Proof of Concept trailer that brought those new characters to life. We would like to clarify that our team does not own these characters and we do not know what comes next for them after the this Proof of Concept. Khan Bang underwent significant changes from its initial concept to the final design. Giulio Marrone handled the modeling, and my role, apart from designing and art directing it, was primarily color adjustments and tweaking proportions for the rig. The character went through substantial transformations before reaching the final model. Originally, with a team of 5 members including our Demoman, he was envisioned as a large, robust soldier with armor inspired by Mongolian attire and an Asian facial appearance. However, during the initial internal pitch, it was noted that the Space Elite members didn't adequately parody a typical American army. This led to a change in the Demoman's 3D model, altering his face to appear Caucasian. Later, as the team expanded to 7 members, the Demoman split into two characters – Pyro and Demoman. This resulted in creating two opposing versions: Pyro, a towering soldier with a bare chest, and Demoman, heavily armored with an inverted triangle shape. Fortunately, we managed to reintroduce his Asian appearance during the modeling process, incorporating new elements for the character.
