His face design was very much based on my own Two Face design.

First shot showing full body Prick in the trailer! From this angle you couldn't see the burned areas

In this shot the burned skin is revealed. I you look closely, you'll see him laugh

To show a bit of the development mentioned on the description. This was the original Demoman that was turned into Pyro.

Originally, Prick mantained the blond hair and face from this version. But it was altered to add an extra crazyness to his face. The hair was also changed to contrast with his suit colors.

This was the very first render of our toys, with polypaint in Vray.

These two were part of a small internal pitch to sell the idea of the project. Both the demoman and the Engineer changed drastically afterwards.

[DISCLAIMER: Small Soldiers War for the Nekron is a Proof of Concept project in which our team was hired by Comadran Studios to create a set of toy characters during some months from 2022-2023. The conclussion of the project was the Proof of Concept trailer that brought those new characters to life. We would like to clarify that our team does not own these characters and we do not know what comes next for them after the this Proof of Concept. Designs and story might not represent the final product as they are subject to change during production.]

Prick Pyro is probably my favourite Space Elite. If you check my Concept Art post, you will see that he was not part of the original cast. When the team members changed from 5 to 7, the previous Demoman design was splitted in two. One of them was a crazy pyromaniac that would stop for nothing. The flamethrower gatling idea was something that developed very organically, but my favourite addition to the character is the tank on his back; it is designed to be replaced by other spray cans.
I designed and modelled Prick Pyro, but I want to thank David Puertas for his additional modelling work. At some point we thought we were going to animate Prick's hands, so I asked David to model individual fingers for it. Since we were using Polypaint and vertex color instead of UV and textures, Unreal Engine's dynamic decimation (Nanite) distorted any paintwork done in smooth surfaces. For that reason, the camouflage pattern had to be modelled in an additional geometry and I asked David Puertas for help again.
